Where shall we dine?
By Emmanuel Padilla
Translation: Libni Garcia
Only a few hours remain for the Holy Supper to begin, and the streets are already bursting with faithful. Many of them have waited for hours their soul’s moment of joy, with the Apostle of Jesus Christ. At the end of the Hour of Meditation, many of them sought any place to accommodate themselves to await the Supper of the Lord.
Some people have found shelter beneath the trees, or some canopy, seeking refuge from the heat of the sun, or in the very least shielding themselves with their umbrellas. Yet, the sun is not the only threatening factor; in Guadalajara, August is a rainy month. Every year all the faithful risk becoming victims of the rain, but they are not discouraged. Year by year the rain and storms fall, and year by year they all stay put to receive the blessing of God.
